Digital music allows you to access millions of songs from a single device, but it doesn’t provide the intangible experience of a physical record. While you probably haven’t looked though your CD case in the past few years, vinyl’s recent resurgence in popularity has brought a whole new generation of people into the world of record collecting.
VNYL, the album subscription service is looking to bridge the gap between the analog and digital worlds with TRNTBL, a wireless record player that streams music to your Bluetooth speaker. Currently available for pre-order, the device is made for the modern day audiophile with its ability to transmit uncompressed audio while identifying the track that’s being played and sharing it on your Spotify feed. In addition to Bluetooth, TRNTBL works with Sonos and Airplay, so it will most likely work with your existing setup.
The device comes in black/gold and crème/gold color schemes for $351. VNYL expects to begin shipments this summer.
