It’s still way more expensive than a Garmin, but the latest Series 2 update to the Apple Watch might be the best wearable available for runners and fitness enthusiasts. This model is a little bigger than the original, but that’s because Apple packed several new features inside.
The most important difference is the Series 2 is now properly water resistant, allowing swimmers to reach depths of 50 meters. The previous version didn’t have an IP67 rating because the speaker would be flooded with water, whereas this model is built to fill with water and empty itself out when required.
The function works by displaying a water droplet icon, alerting the wearer to rotate the dial, expelling excess liquid with some vibrations. In use, the watch can handle water splashing just fine without the icon showing up.
The version also has a shorter battery life due to GPS implementation, which allows runners to log routes without bringing a phone with them — a worthwhile tradeoff for a device that needs charging every night anyway.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
