If you’re willing to spend a few bucks, anything that matters to you will no longer get lost and thanks to the company’s business model, you might get help from others. While I could certainly put my keys in the same place every time I enter the house, I don’t and, at my age, that’s not going to change. But for $25, I can now find my keys with my phone without much of an issue. While there is something mildly humorous in the constant search, the lost time would be better spent working and the search costs me, to say nothing of always being late.
Tiles used to be too big to warrant the purchase, but they have slimmed to the point of being worth $25 in value and time. Be it your luggage, iPad, wallet or passport, I’m a bit addicted to buying them, but really wish I would keep my phone fully charged more often, as they simply don’t work that well without it.
If you can’t find something “Tiled,” all you need to do is ping it from your phone if you’re within about 100 feet and it will emit an alarm and alert you to its location. Can’t find your phone? Simply depress any of your Tiles and your phone will ring even if in silent mode.
The added benefit of Tile is its more than 1 million users. Once you’ve said something is lost, for example, your suitcase, you will receive a notification any time another Tile user is within range with its updated location.
However did I live without these in the past?
