The health of our skin can be greatly affected by UV light from the sun. If someone isn’t careful, there is always a possibility of developing skin cancer from lack of protecting your skin. Especially when traveling and dealing with direct sunlight, protecting the skin from the sun is important. Make sure to choose the correct sunscreen to keep your skin safe.
A great tip is to choose a sunscreen with broad spectrum protection. This protection has the best coverage and protects against UVA and UVB rays. This is your best protector against developing skin cancer because it fights off both types of harmful rays. Typically all sunscreen protects against UVB rays, the main cause of skin issues, but UVA rays can also contribute to cancer and aging. It’s best to get a product that can keep you safe no matter what.
Always choose a sunscreen that has a protection of 30 SPF or higher. The SPF number is the level of protection the sunscreen provides against UVB rays. The higher the level, the more protection the sunscreen has to offer so plan accordingly to your skin tone and how easily your skin is affected by the rays of the sun. No sunscreen protects you completely. When choosing a sunscreen, almost never pick a sunscreen below 15 SPF because it does not protect against skin cancer or skin aging.
When traveling, there are many hours spent out under the rays of the sun. Sunscreen is essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
