Dreampad Pillow

Presented on ABC’s Shark Tank in November, the Dreampad is a tech-based smart pillow designed to help turn off the mind at the end of the day and fall naturally into a deep, restful sleep. Originally developed as a therapy tool for autistic children, the product was used for four years in pediatric clinics at Duke, Stanford and Harvard before it was further advanced as a sleep aid for anyone who has trouble falling and staying asleep.

Dreampad’s patented technology signals your internal relaxation response, helping reduce stress by calming the body and mind. Its music travels internally from the pillow through the inner ear, triggering the nervous system’s calming reflex.

To use the pillow, simply download the Dreampad app to your phone, pair your phone with the pillow via Bluetooth, put the phone in Airplane Mode, plug it directly into the Dreampad and either place it in the Dreampad pocket or use the extension that comes with the pillow. While the phone doesn’t need to be put in Airplane Mode to work, doing so prevents calls, texts or other alerts disrupting sleep.

Different pillows are available depending on personal preference, including slim, firm, medium and memory foam varieties. The pillow retails $149–179, and risk-free trials are available through Jan. 30, 2018.
