Smartphones offer a breadth of utility seldom seen before they came around. The same device can make phone calls, download and play music, do taxes, play games and so much more.

There are many apps smartphone users can download to accurately track diets, workouts, fitness training and more.

Google Fit

Google Fit is convenient because of the presence of Google. If you have a phone running an Android operating system, chances are your phone came pre-installed with Google Fit.

Google Fit allows you to actively track workouts, set fitness goals, track routes and more. After a workout involving some kind of distance traveled, Google Fit can give you a breakdown of stats ranging from how far and fast you went to how many calories you burned and steps you took.

Without investing in actual hardware for a fitness tracker, Google Fit is about as comprehensive as a free option is likely to get.

MyFitnessPal

MyFitnessPal is a little different from Google Fit. Instead of setting fitness goals and tracking stats of your workouts, MyFitnessPal works to make you aware of the food you eat. This calorie counter allows you to set a goal and tells you when you need to eat more or less food in order to meet your goal.

The app also features a fitness journal to make keeping track of workouts easier for the user.

Fitbit

The major caveat for Fitbit is Fitbit requires hardware.

After purchasing a bracelet-like accessory, users can access a ton of information about themselves and their fitness. Users have access to heart rate, steps taken, calories burned and much more. Wearing the Fitbit during sleep even allows the user to check on their sleep patterns in the morning to see how they slept through the night.

If you are willing to buy the extra hardware, Fitbit offers an incredible toolset for the job of keeping track of your fitness.

With most easily accessible by boat, the islands’ proximity to ports of Athens make the Saronic Islands an ideal destination for those preferring shorter boat rides. In fact, trips from Athens ports to the islands take only between 10 minutes and two hours, depending on the island you choose, making them perfect for day or weekend trips.
