Students have the opportunity to test Amazon Prime with a free six-month trial, in which they receive all of the benefits of Prime in addition to student-specific deals; once the trial period is up, Prime Student is half the price of regular Prime.
Amazon is also great for staple purchases through Prime Pantry, the online section where members can purchase and ship low-priced grocery, household and pet care items for a flat delivery fee of $5.99. If that’s not convenient enough, members in select cities can utilize Prime Now, where you can get one-hour delivery for thousands of products from local stores.
For entertainment, Prime Video and Music features unlimited streaming of movies, shows and songs for paid or free trial members in the United States and Puerto Rico. Prime Photos provides unlimited secure photo storage in Amazon Cloud Drive.
Additional Amazon Prime bonuses include Amazon Elements, access to Amazon’s own line of everyday essentials; and membership sharing where two adults living together can create an Amazon Household to share certain Prime benefits. Amazon has also been experimenting with making some purchases eligible only for subscribers.
