As technology forever evolves, more and more gadgets come to fruition — ones we never necessarily thought would exist. In some way, everything and anything is now connected and everywhere we go technology follows. If you once thought you were protected from the invasion of connectivity in your bathroom, think again.

Let us introduce you to HiMirror. HiMirror, the smart bathroom mirror, provides people with the best information about their skin in real time. Essentially the device is a large, 11-inch-by-16.5-inch, humidity-resistant tablet with a reflective coating on the display and a webcam mounted at the top. The device runs Android and can be interacted with via voice commands and gestures.
For enhanced security purposes, a mechanical cover can be turned to prevent potential hackers from seeing you.

The user interface is friendly and in just minutes you get a detailed report on your skin with exact location and status of red spots, dark spots, wrinkles, dark eye circles, pores, fine lines and complexion. At the end of the report, you receive a summary in a form of a graphic providing tutorials on how to take care of your skin.

It is necessary to set up a username with an email address to log in to your account. When interacting with HiMirror, the log in is done with facial recognition.

Customers have the opportunity to scan beauty product bar codes to feed the virtual Beauty Box, so the system knows the type of care you’re currently applying to your skin, resulting in feedback and tutorials from the system.

HiMirror also works with the Smart Body Scale, which can be bought separately. The scale, which can be covered with a furry rug, collects data to display on the smart mirror.

The mirror comes in two different types, the regular model which costs $189, and the high model for $259. The scale is available for $79.
