Kickstarter and Shark Tank seem to be hotbeds of innovation, especially for unique travel products like AquaVault and Onewheel. One of the simplest but most useful ideas to come of this start-up culture is the Hoodie Pillow, a line of pillowcases that, you guessed it, have a sweatshirt hood sewn on.
Robert Herjavec invested $90,000 for 15 percent of the company, which has since expanded to travel neck pillows and hooded beach towels. The pillowcases fit your standard pillow measuring 20 by 32 inches. The fabric is your typical sweatshirt material, a blend of 80 percent cotton and 20 percent polyester, which is machine washable.
The oversized hood allows people to cover their eyes when laying back, or sleep on their side while keeping their head warm. A side pocket is stitched in for holding your cellphone, in addition to portholes to thread your headphones into the hood without any tangling.
The Hoodie Pillow is available in memory foam or inflatable and is also hand washable. If you’re going to the shore, their beach towel hoodie is perfect for sunbathers with a protective SPF 50 hood and a strap that converts the towel into a shoulder bag.
