The U.S. company Osprey may be better known for its sturdy backpacks, but it is entering the trail running market with these latest models.
Osprey announced gender-specific hydration packs available in various sizes. The Duro range is meant for men, while the Dyna range is designed with women in mind. Each is available in 1.5 L, 6 L or 15 L capacity.
The point of the vest packs is to provide “bounce-free stability,” and let you run without your water digging you in the back. Comfort is also improved thanks to a full-mesh build, which stops you getting soaked in sweat.
By no means are the Osprey packs supposed to be ultralight models for competitive runners. They feature a number of pockets and added features for comfort. However, they will last forever and have enough space to take some essential items with you on your general runs.
Osprey has a great reputation for building high-quality gear, and the first reviews of the Duro/Dyna range suggest those standards have been maintained. For those that want to run without clutching a bottle of water, this could be a great solution.
Check out the full range when it is released later this year, and stay hydrated on the trails.
