TripIt is a great application for everyone who makes travel and non-travel related bookings. It allows you to keep all of your reservations in one place and will give you quick and easy access to dates, confirmations numbers, addresses, notes and contacts.
TripIt will create itineraries for you based on your bookings and the confirmations sent to you via email. TripIt simply collects all pertinent information from your emails and stores the information in the Upcoming Trips tab of the app. You can also sync it with your calendar and it will automatically load all of your travel plans into your schedule. If you are traveling with someone who also has TripIt or are making travel arrangements for someone, TripIt allows you to share the itineraries via the application as well.
It’s also really convenient to keep pertinent travel documents and contacts handy on the application in a password secure profile, i.e. driver’s license, passport, visas, etc.
The upgraded version, the TripIt Pro, about $48 per year, will send you real time alerts on flight changes, check-in reminders, seat tracking, alternate flight alerts, fare refund notifications, itinerary sharing and point tracking.
It is compatible with your iPhone (iOS 8.0 or later), iPad, iPod Touch and Apple Watch.
