Between gawking at eye-catching architecture and snapping photos to later upload to social media, it’s easy to be distracted while exploring a new environment. Tourists are the easiest prey for pickpockets and, while accessories like money belts can hide valuables, they’re not always the most comfortable or convenient companions.
Travel product company TravelOn developed a line of anti-theft travel bags that serve as perfect daytime carry-alls and can help remove the anxiety surrounding potential theft. TravelOn’s crossbody style of bag is a particularly smart design because it not only drapes across the body making it more difficult for thieves to swipe, but it also contains other theft-deterring features.
The storage slots within the bag are lined with RFID-blocking capabilities to keep credit cards and passport data safe. The main compartment opens into three individual pockets, each concealed with zippers, plus an internal zippered wall pocket for an additional touch of security. There is also a key chain with an LED light to assist travelers fumbling for deeply buried items in the dark.
Made of a poly twill-and-leather fabric, the smart-looking bag measures 12 inches by 10 inches by 1.5 inches, and comes in two colors: black or wine. TravelOn’s crossbody bag is available to purchase online for $65.
