Getting the right bag can make a huge difference to your trip and getting it wrong can lead to unnecessary stress. The Urban Day Bag is the latest attempt to crack the formula when it comes to designing and building a carry-on bag that can be used for multiple types of trips. The designers used a classic duffel shape with a leather handle for ease of use, and there are a number of clever features.
The RFID pocket keeps any scannable items out of harm’s way, while you can safely stash your water in the separate water pocket. There is also a size control lock, so you can adjust the capacity of the bag depending on how much stuff you have.
There are two colors available: black camouflage and carbon black. The bag measures 31 centimeters by 50 centimeters, within the international limits for hand luggage.
Slide your laptop into the concealed sleeve, and trust in the water-repellent nylon shell to keep your stuff dry. Use the detachable shoulder strap on long journeys or the hidden handle if you’re packing light. The Urban Day Bag will retail for $120 following a successful Kickstarter campaign.
