WELT came up with a new way to track your weight loss goals without having to forsake fashion for fitness. The WELT Smart Belt is a wonderful alternative to the traditional wearables that go around your wrist, as it wraps around your waist instead. That’s right, they’ve developed a fully functional belt that also helps track your exercise goals.
It works by keeping track of the three main general health indicators: activity, waist size and food intake.
To track waist size, the belt comes equipped with a magnetic sensor in the buckle that monitors changes in the tension and any changes to the notches you make. To help you keep track of food, WELT can track your gut’s expansion throughout the day as you intake calories, letting you know which foods might be stretching you out just a tad too much. Of course, it also comes with the traditional pedometer tracker to let you know how many steps you take throughout the day. It also monitors how much time you spend slacking on your butt.
All of this data convergence into a mobile app that helps you control your wellness by offering health guidance tips. The battery in the belt lasts for roughly 20 days before needing a new charge.
Best of all, the color variety available is large enough to accommodate any wardrobe, making it one of the most versatile and stylish wellness trackers out there.
The WELT Smart Belt is available for preorder now on Indiegogo.
