Zaful is a clothing company based in China that made a splash selling duplicates of popular name-brand clothing and bikinis for a fraction of the cost. They sprang up through social media marketing and caught attention by selling bikinis that would normally sell for $80–100 for $15–20. So, what’s the catch, and are the products worth the trade-off?
Cheaper Materials
The product may look how it’s pictured, but the materials may be different. To cut back on production costs, many of the suits are made with cheaper materials, and there are complaints of the bikinis falling apart quickly or straps breaking.
Sizing Issues
When buying bikinis from Zaful you need to order the same size top and bottom. This poses an issue for those who usually order different sizes of each. The sizes also run much smaller than normal U.S. sizes; a look at the sizing guide and reviews might be necessary to figure out what to order. Many reviews suggest going a size up from your usual.
Shipping
Because the products come from China, they can take quite a while to ship. Some reviews complain shipping takes several weeks or months. Those willing to pay for expedited shipping still only expect to receive suits within one to two weeks.
Bang For Your Buck
If the suits do end up being to your liking and of good quality, you get a lot of bang for your buck. Yes, it’s a gamble, but getting a suit for $15 instead of $100 can be a huge payoff.
Abundant Reviews
If you’re willing to do the research, Zaful has plenty of customer reviews with photos on its website. This way you can weed out the duds from the finds. Plenty of YouTubers had try-on hauls of many of the suits, giving a helpful guide to what suits worked for them.
