If you have pets who shed fur, as so many do, and you’re tired of chasing tumbleweeds of fur with a broom, then the Bissell PowerEdge Corded Vacuum is the perfect solution.

There are plenty of pet fur vacuums out there, but this one is small, light and relatively inexpensive compared to other, more tricked-out products. It’s easier to find room for this one in your closet, yet it still does the trick beautifully, capturing fur and even picking up kitty litter from the floor with ease.

The unique suction design captures items along edges extremely well, with the V-shape directing larger debris toward the center suction, while finer debris gets suctioned at the edges. The swiveling head easily maneuvers around furniture. And clean up is simple, with a removable chamber that can be quickly emptied and replaced when full.

The vacuum works best on hardwood and tile floors, though it does a reasonably good job on small sections of carpet or rug. The only downsides are it doesn’t function well on stairs; as you lift it to clean fur off a step, the vacuum blows the fur into the air. And it doesn’t have a great ability to maneuver under furniture, as it’s too bulky. It would be better designed with a detachable hose or hand vacuum for those tight spaces.
