Reviews / Hotel

Curtain Road sits in the heart of Shoreditch, one of London’s trendiest districts. With members clubs such as Shoreditch House firmly established to service the local crowd of start-ups and creative entrepreneurs, The Curtain is a late arrival on the scene. Open for only a month, the hotel and members club has its work cut out to carve out a client base.

That said, it’s off to a good start. The rooftop pool may be small, but it’s a novelty to have a refreshing swim looking over the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are well-appointed, with steam showers and huge comfy beds, and the breakfast buffet is delicious.

Downstairs is a restaurant and bar open to non-guests, and the atmosphere can get lively. If you are looking for a boutique hotel in the middle of town, The Curtain is a good option. Rooms are fairly priced for the area and the facilities on offer, and the pool terrace is a great place for meetings.

Competition in London is incredibly fierce, but The Curtain looks like a strong contender. Whether you are staying for one night or taking out a yearly membership, you will be impressed.

Windstar Cruises’ first-ever President’s Mystery Cruise will depart April 19, 2025. The eight-day voyage for Windstar Yacht Club members and friends will depart from and return to Athens, while the rest of the port calls remain a mystery to guests onboard the 312-passenger Star Legend. The Argosaronic Islands Are Calling

The Saronic or Argo Saronic Islands of Greece call travelers to explore its seven small islands and islets brimming with history, natural sites and more. With most easily accessible by boat, the islands’ proximity to ports of Athens make the Saronic Islands an ideal destination for those preferring shorter boat rides. In fact, trips from Athens ports to the islands take only between 10 minutes and two hours, depending on the island you choose, making them perfect for day or weekend trips.
