FuZion D’Afrique Restaurant

FuZion D’Afrique has a reputation for offering some of the best pizza in Monrovia, coupled with excellent Middle Eastern and American cuisine. Admittedly, the exterior of the building was a bit off-putting upon first glance — it’s seemingly constructed of vertical logs rather than actual walls. But it was undergoing renovations at the time I was there.

Inside, the atmosphere is laidback and offers a family-friendly vibe, with large tables suitable for parties. The staff was approachable and willing to offer suggestions, always appreciated. It was a bit busy the evening I visited, so service was kind of slow. We tried both the FuZion Deluxe Pizza, with ham, shrimp, chicken and bacon, and the Za’atar Pie.

The food was good, if not the best I’ve ever tasted. I expected a bit more from the pizza due to the reputation of FuZion. However, I would probably return here again to give it another shot. The chicken dishes looked absolutely delectable from what we saw and, if I hadn’t been in the mood for pizza, I would’ve liked to try them.

Overall, my experience here was good, if even it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
