The Herdmanston Lodge Hotel is located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Guyana and offers affordable accommodations for business and casual travelers. The rooms here are spacious, if slightly weathered, and the staff is one of the best in the business.
The Lodge is located in a neighborhood with a somewhat questionable reputation, but I never felt anything less than perfectly safe during my stay. Though a bit removed from downtown, there were still great attractions within walking distance along with restaurants and places to shop. The hotel also offers airport shuttles and a car service so it’s easy to get around. It’s a short walk to the zoo!
The room itself was big and contained the perfect amount of amenities. Inside there was WiFi, a flat-screen television with numerous channels and a comfy bed. The bathroom was tastefully decorated and clean, and there was a much-needed coffee machine available too. Outside the rooms the hotel contained an on-site restaurant with great food along with a garden and what seemed to be a playground. It’s kid-friendly.
They also offered massage services, room service and even babysitting. Above all the staff was constantly on top of its game and was quick to answer questions or remedy any problems that arose. I would recommend a stay at Herdmanston Lodge and will be returning there on my next trip to town.
