Reviews / Hotel

My friends and I arrived to the InterContinental New Orleans early in the morning, hours ahead of check-in time. Luckily, our rooms were ready. After a swift check-in process we made our way to our rooms, all on the seventh floor.

My room with a king bed boasted all of the standard guestroom amenities. I particularly enjoyed the selection of outlets on the nightstand lamp, complimentary WiFi and rainfall shower. The room’s décor felt both modern and classic, with rich, dark tones. The bed was comfortable and I appreciated the pillow choices. Unlike some of the more touristy hotels in the city, the InterContinental provided peace and quiet, ideal for a good night’s sleep after a long first day of travel.

The property has two on-site restaurants and room service, though we opted to dine outside of the hotel during our stay. There is a pool on the roof, though it was much too cold to take advantage Fduring our visit. Located in the Central Business District, the property is a short walk from the French Quarter, though there are plenty of great restaurants and shops even closer.

There was construction on the street during our stay, so our Uber driver had some trouble locating us as we waited outside the lobby. We had better luck with other drivers, though.

If you’re planning a trip to New Orleans, consider booking a stay at the InterContinental for a quiet and relaxing experience.
