Recently, in Cuba, restaurants have opened in old buildings renovated by Sociedad Juventud Asturiana, a Spanish cultural society. Of these, La Terraza has risen as one of the top restaurants in Havana.
From Havana’s Parque Central (Central Park), follow the lion statues down the Paseo del Prado a little more than a block and you’ll be outside La Terraza. It’s the restaurant on the third floor of the building. Don’t let the other restaurants on the way up distract you. Request a table outside on the terrace for a nice view of the city.
La Terraza has first-class service and your server will happily assist in your beverage and entree selection. The chef is ready to grill all the meat your heart desires and the portions are hefty. The menu boasts pork, lamb, rabbit, chicken, fish and red meat. The salad, grilled vegetables and rice are cooked just right. The black beans are cooked to perfection.
Come prepared with a large appetite for a delicious Cuban meal. La Terraza serves authentic Cuban cuisine with an ambiance to match. The restaurant has a full bar as well. Be sure to make a reservation in advance in case they are busy.
