M-eating, Mykonos, Greece

If you’re tired of traditional Greek cuisine while visiting Mykonos, I would highly recommend making a reservation at M-eating. This stunning little restaurant is a true gem among an already packed list of great dining options in the city.

The décor of M-eating is a mix of Greek architectural genius mixed with a little Mediterranean flair. It’s hard not to feel at home below the cozy wooden beams and homey feel. Outside you’re treated to fantastic views from the veranda. The food is simply out of this world. Not only will the taste leave you craving more, but the presentation is top notch as well.

I ordered the hunkar begendi, a slice of veal meat on aubergine puree with traditional Greek tomato sauce and Parmesan sponge. It was the first time I’d had it and it is now quite possibly my favorite meal in the world. If you think I’m exaggerating I can only suggest you go and try it.

The service, while perfectly suitable, wasn’t the friendliest around. It was a busy night, though, so it’s possible the staff was simply feeling overwhelmed. They were all perfectly polite.

I’d definitely return here in the future.
