This hostel has good facilities to go with its Google-friendly name, and it’s conveniently located.
Mexico City Hostel is found in the Centro Historico, just a stone’s throw from the huge Zocalo square. It’s a buzzing neighborhood and well connected to the rest of the city with good metro and bus services.
Aside from the location, the facilities themselves are pretty good. This is a monstrous hostel spread over four floors of an old building, but it doesn’t feel too big. Dorms have enough space for you and your stuff, with lockers provided for every guest.
The shared bathrooms are always clean and there are enough of them that you won’t have to wait too long for your turn. Breakfast is basic but generous, with as much eggs, yogurt, coffee and bread as you like.
For such a large hostel, the common areas are fairly small, and there is no bar. If you want to party, this isn’t the place. People are too spread out to really hang out together, and it seems that most guests stay here looking for a more relaxed experience.
If you want a cheap, clean hostel where you can get a good night’s sleep, Mexico City Hostel is a good choice.
