A few weeks ago, I enjoyed Sunday brunch at 24 Wood Fired Fare with a few coworkers. We happened to be in Center City for Yoga on the Banks, canceled due to weather, but we quickly got over our loss over brunch.
We each enjoyed a special brunch cocktail before ordering, and, with $5 spritzers, we were off to a good start. The menu offered a hearty blend of American- and Italian-inspired wood fired fare from cauliflower pizza to wood oven-baked frittata and a soppressata and mozzarella bagel sandwich.
Scanning the menu for something to combat the cold spring weather outside, we each ordered various egg options from the 24 Brunch for $10, and the asparagus and Manchego omelet for $11. We opted to share the decadent fig and bacon waffle for $13. The waffle was light, fluffy and flavorful, with whipped mascarpone, port syrup and fresh figs, basil and crispy bacon.
Located along the Schuylkill River Banks off of Walnut Street, 24 offers outdoor patio seating overlooking the water as well as cozy seating with a view indoors. Enjoy casual cuisine and elevated ambiance at 24 for brunch, lunch or dinner.
