Review: Flying Fish Brewery in Brewerytown, Philadelphia
There’s a new fish in town … Flying Fish Brewery in Brewerytown, Philadelphia. The microbrew scene has really taken off in Philadelphia over the last decade and Flying Fish has been ranked as one of the top local favorites. I know what you’re thinking, a brewery in Brewerytown? Well, the town got its name during the late 19th century and early 20th century because of the vast number of breweries located along the Schuylkill River. Now, it is mostly a residential community with newer developments being erected and contributing to the revitalization of the area; one of the contributors being the recently opened Flying Fish Brewery.
With the large space and layout, the brewery invites seating for more than 190 patrons inside with additional seating on the outdoor patio. Once the sunshine comes out, Flying Fish is sure to guarantee some fun with its upcoming events, impressive brew list and delicious menu, offering handcrafted, gastropub-style appetizers and entrees with ingredients sourced from local vendors.
One of the coolest services is the room service available to the patrons living in the above apartments. So if you live in the Fairmount@Brewerytown community, consider yourself lucky, and if you do not, make your way over to Brewerytown to see and taste for yourself.
