Situated on the bustling Upper Street in Islington, Gallipoli Again serves Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine.
The area has become well known for its eateries in the past few years, and competition is intense. Gallipoli Again is right in the thick of the action, and draws in a crowd of regulars as well as passing trade.
The food includes all of the classic Mediterranean cuisine you might expect: shawarma, falafel and a huge variety of meze plates. It’s all well prepared, with a number of homemade sauces provided so you can make your dish just how you like it.
On a Friday night the atmosphere was lively and staff attentive. Bag a window seat for good people watching, or head upstairs for a cozy, romantic meal.
Happily, the restaurant lets you bring your own alcohol, cutting the cost of a meal quite considerably. Three courses for two people came to just $75 with drinks bought from a shop nearby.
With Mediterranean cuisine becoming ever more popular in London, Gallipoli Again does well to stand out from the crowd. The dishes are authentic and hail from across the region, giving guests the chance to discover dishes from a variety of different countries in one night.
Gallipoli Again comes highly recommended. Don’t forget to pick up some wine on your way!
