I arrived to Sainte-Adèle’s Hotel Mont Gabriel in the late afternoon for my one-night stay. The property’s location in Quebec’s Laurentian Mountains is reflected in its décor. The lobby felt both rustic and luxurious. Check-in was swift and I made my way to my room on the second floor.
The property features a newly renovated section in addition to the original 1936 logwood section. My room was in the newer portion. The décor felt more modern than rustic, with a king-sized bed, mini refrigerator, desk, armchair with ottoman and other standard guestroom amenities. It also featured a picturesque view of the property’s ski slopes and nearby forest. I used the complimentary WiFi to send a few emails before heading out to dinner in Sainte-Adèle.
Unfortunately, my short stay restricted my time to experience the Hotel Mont Gabriel’s amenities. The resort offers indoor and outdoor pools, six tennis courts, sledding, skiing, ski lessons, a spa and an 18-hole golf course. I did have time for a brief tour of the golf course. Like my room, the course offers stunning mountain views.
On the morning of my departure, I enjoyed breakfast at one of the two on-site restaurants. L’Ambroisie serves a breakfast buffet complete with breakfast classics, an omelet station, pastries and maple syrup, of course. The restaurant’s décor has a cozy ski lodge feel, with wood accents and warm colors.
My stay at Hotel Mont Gabriel was brief, though pleasant. I appreciated the property’s close proximity to Montreal and Mont Tremblant. The location is ideal for business and leisure travelers.
