One of Philadelphia’s most beloved hotels underwent a complete transformation and is now the reborn, re-imagined and refined hotel of Philly, The Logan Hotel. The social magnet is infused with a contemporary and artistic point of view, with wire-like statues in the lobby. The hotel is geared for business and leisure travelers alike. The hub is at the center of it all, in Logan Square, just minutes from Center City and Rittenhouse Square.
The last weekend in September my cousin and I decided to venture out in Philly, in celebration of her birthday. We booked a double-bedded deluxe room with courtyard views without much hassle. When we pulled up, the valet immediately greeted us, helped with our bags and showed us to the check-in desk. The hotel lobby had various art displayed all throughout the hotel, from statues to paintings and much more. Check-in went smoothly; we were provided two free drink passes to use at the rooftop or lobby bar as I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday.
The hotel truly exudes cosmopolitan culture and artistic sensibility, as it was posh and modern. The hotel room was exceptionally spacious and had two large windows. The in-room amenities included a 42-inch HDTV, a Keurig coffeemaker and a charging station with Bluetooth music connection. The bathroom had marble sinks, a combined shower/tub, multiple mirrors — one lighted and the other a make-up/shaving mirror — a salon-style hairdryer and spa-inspired products.
Before our dinner reservations, we stopped by the Commons Lounge for a quick celebratory Champagne toast. The urban haven had a sophisticated style with an honest appeal. It was comfortable like a living room, yet luxurious. The bartender was excellent, friendly and helpful.
From the minute we arrived, we felt welcomed into our new home for the evening. We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Logan and look forward to our next girls’ night.
