As the temperatures dip and layers of clothing are added to daily apparel, adventurous travelers will bundle up and head outside for some chilly thrills. Among the plethora of fun winter activities in Europe are the few options below, sure to ignite the inner fire in even the coldest hearts.
Snowshoe
In countries like Norway and Finland, snowshoeing is an opportunity to explore miles upon miles of untouched powder. Trek along the water´s edge in hopes of spotting an elusive minke whale.
Climb Ice
Take to the bergs of northern Italy, particularly in the world-famous Cogne Valley, the world´s best place to ice climb. Routes for both beginners and experts are open throughout the winter season.
Get Behind the Wheel
Known for some of the best rally drivers in the world, Finland is the place to learn the popular pastime. Courses are available year-round at any of the schools nationwide, and vehicle requests are open for reservation.
Bungee Jump
It may be cold outside, but there´s no such thing as bad weather when it comes to taking the plunge.
