Personal finance network WalletHub revealed the best cities in the United States for vegetarians and vegans. Analysts compared the 100 biggest cities in the country based on data covering 15 key metrics of vegetarian- and vegan-friendliness. These metrics include cost of groceries, variety of restaurants serving meatless options and most farmers markets and CSA programs per capita.

Top 10 Vegetarian- and Vegan-Friendliest Cities

8. Scottsdale, Ariz.

The top 10 cities with the least vegetarian and vegan options in descending order are North Las Vegas, Nev.; San Bernardino, Calif.; Oklahoma City; Stockton, Calif.; Henderson, Nev.; Baton Rouge, La.; Tulsa, Okla.; Fresno, Calif.; Toledo, Ohio; and Greensboro, N.C.

Miami topped the list for most vegetable nurseries per capita, with Newark, N.J., coming in last place. The city with the highest percentage of restaurants serving vegan options is Orlando, Fla., with Chicago offering the least.
