WalletHub, the personal finance social network, announced its study of the best cold and warm destinations to visit during winter travel. The report compared 69 of the largest metro areas in the United States across 29 metrics including lowest travel costs and most attractions. Did your favorite city make the list?

The cities were analyzed using five distinct dimensions: travel costs and hassles, local costs, attractions, weather conditions and activities. Cold destinations are considered those with an average December temperature below 46 degrees; warm destinations have an average December temperature above 57 degrees. How to Explore Neuschwanstein Castle
