This small café is family owned and run by extremely affable cook Alicia who enjoys conversing with her customers while sharing a meal. The empanadas are better than any others you’ll find in Quito.

Delectable, generously portioned and affordable, this restaurant is a great option for travelers looking for a heavy meal and a great atmosphere. It’s hidden away from the main streets but worth the walk to get there.
