Tips / Travel

Whether you plan to stay somewhere for just a few days or a few weeks, Airbnb offers a viable alternative to hotels.

Airbnb gives vacation renters the opportunity to experience the destination with a little privacy and intimacy. Many Airbnbs have private entrances and the host of the property doesn’t even need to be around for the service to work as intended.

With all of that said, there are a few things to pay special attention to when you are looking for an Airbnb:

  • A convenient location is one of the most important things to look for when you consider any type of lodging. Convenience capabilities take a leap when you do not need to consider a hotel. Airbnb rentals can be in the bustle of any downtown city or in a sleepy suburb.
  • Flexibility is one of the greatest assets of Airbnb, so make sure you make use of your options.
  • Knowledgeable hosts have the potential to turn a week of confusion into a week of bliss.
  • One of the main advantages of Airbnb is the ability to message your host at any time. Accommodating hosts will undoubtedly take a minute to talk you through your questions.
  • Some hosts will put together books of activities, places to eat and recreational ideas. These are especially useful for travelers who might not know a ton about their destination and allow travelers to live a little more like locals.
  • A desirable location and a knowledgeable host are one thing, but it is all for nothing if your host is not accommodating. If the host is accommodating, they will be there when you need questions answered and will leave you be the rest of the time.

This all comes down to what the travelers are looking for. Some travelers might like to look for their own adventures and love chatting with their host. When it comes down to it, only you can be the judge of the type of Airbnb you want.

How to Explore Neuschwanstein Castle

Most people know Neuschwanstein Castle as Walt Disney’s inspiration for both Cinderella’s and Sleeping Beauty’s castles, but it is also filled with history and stories from German royalty. In 1868, King Ludwig II began construction of the medieval-style castle to live in. Sadly, it wasn’t finished before he died, so the king never got to see the finished product. Today, the castle is privately owned, but travelers can still explore it on a guided audio tour.
