Top 5 / Other

We’ve all undoubtedly been there; you booked that plane ticket online with a long layover at an airport because it was much cheaper, but when it comes to arriving there, you realize that for the next 12 hours you’re going to be extremely uncomfortable. To combat this, before you book your ticket, here are the top 5 airports you should choose your layover at to ensure a comfy wait.

Munich Airport, Germany

We’ll start in Germany, where Munich Airport has been hailed as a great layover destination. According to traveler reports, in the vicinity of gate 38 there is free coffee, so be sure to check that out. Other than that, for the budget conscious, you will be happy to know there are relaxation zones dotted around the airport.

Vancouver Airport, Canada

This is a well-designed and equally comfortable airport, with free and unlimited WiFi. There’s a giant aquarium in the departure lounge as well as museums and art exhibits for the culture-minded. With a large offering of shops and restaurants, you can’t get bored. Award yourself extra points if you spot a Mountie.

Singapore Changi International Airport

Ranked by many as the best airport in the world, Singapore Changi certainly proves why. The airport offers free lounge chairs, relaxation areas with low lighting, free massage chairs and comfy chairs with charging outlets. You’ll be sure to find somewhere quiet and cozy to settle down at this airport, so make sure your longest layovers stop here.

Helsinki Airport, Finland

Finland is doing their bit to aid the weary traveler, with Helsinki’s airport being synonymous with comfort. Reclining chairs free of charge, soft carpeting and sleeping pods for which the airport provides pillows and blankets, you can’t go wrong here!

Seoul Incheon International Airport, South Korea

You might be surprised to learn this airport is one of the most comfortable places to sleep in the world. But once you arrive, and you see you can nestle down on a padded lounge chair free of those pesky arm rests, then you’ll even be dreading your flight to be called.

What to Do During a Trip to Morro Bay, California

No, it’s not Monterey Bay. We’re talking Morro Bay, California, located about a 2.5-hour drive to the south, about halfway between San Jose and Los Angeles. A quieter destination, Morro Bay offers plenty for the outdoor adventurer to enjoy.
