Top 5 / North America

Located in western North Carolina, Asheville is home to more breweries per capita than any other city in the United States. We take a look at some of the best:

Asheville Brewing Company

Asheville Brewing Company is a great brewery experience. Two of its three locations offer a full menu with dine-in and carry-out options. Visit the on-site game room and movie theater, with $3 movie showings.

Burial Beer Company

Opened in 2013, Burial Beer Company started as a one-barrel production and has now expanded to a 10-barrel brewhouse. You’ll find many Belgian-inspired brews that incorporate local ingredients. While there, grab grub from Salt & Smoke, located on the brewery’s patio.

Green Man Brewing

Green Man Brewing opened in 1997, producing traditional English-style beers. The ever-expanding brewpub also serves experimental brews. Book a tour to check out the newly opened packaging hall.

Highland Brewing Company

One of the city’s older breweries, Highland opened in the 1990s and still serves traditional brews. In addition to year-round beer, the brewery offers seasonal and small-batch options. Free tours are available daily.

Wicked Weed Brewing

The most experimental destination on our list, Wicked Weed Brewing offers a unique selection. Each of its three locations has a separate focus: a traditional restaurant, brewery and tasting room at the Pub; a 50-barrel production house at the Brewery; and a sours and funky beer taproom at the Funkatorium.
