Luxembourg City isn’t the largest capital city in the world, but what it lacks in stature, it certainly makes up for in style. That applies to its food, too. Here are the top five restaurants to try when you’re in town.
Le Sud
Le Sud is a favorite among tourists. It’s five stories tall with a bar, terrace and main dining hall, meaning there’s a little something for everyone. The French cuisine is top notch, but the drinks are what you should really come to try.
A La Soupe
Sometimes all you need is a little soup to make your day. Whether you’re in need of something to warm you up or are just interested in something quick and simple, A La Soupe is the place to go to fill your bowl. This joint has lines out the door, so be prepared for a wait.
Le Bouquet Garni
For an upscale experience and delicious French food, be sure to try Le Bouquet Garni. The bisque here is top notch and the ambience is one of the best in town. It’s a great place for a romantic evening if you’re trying to impress a date.
Popkorn
If you’re the type who enjoys a laid-back atmosphere and watching a game while you eat, then Popkorn is the place for you. They serve up fantastic Portuguese dishes and a lot of fun for an affordable price. Head to the terrace to mingle with locals.
Clairefontaine
Clairefontaine will likely run your bank account dry, but you’ll still be singing its praises after you try any of their dishes. It’s definitely a classy establishment — we’re talking suit and tie — and the menu changes often so you’re never quite sure what to expect.
