If you decided to visit Berlin, chances are you might stay out a little later than expected. There is plenty to do during the day. How can it even be fit into your schedule? Between the museums, restaurants, Alexanderplatz, Old Town and the Reichstag, it is hard to decide where to go. Then, at some point, you are out late with friends and after good food and drinks have been had, you find yourself on the street with a bike in the middle of the night. Where do you go now?
Good news is most of the highlights mentioned above are beautiful at night. Drive through Alexanderplatz or down Unter den Linden while waving at the Reichstag. If you have the energy, you are a champ. There are also late-night treats waiting for you if you are still hungry, like Burgermeister at Schlesisches Tor or Mustafa’s Gemuse Kebab. These places are open past 2 a.m. and are cash only, so keep that in mind. If it’s something sweet you crave, bike over to the 24-Turkish Salut bakery in Kreuzberg. This place is a classic and you can find delicious treats at all hours of the day and a cup of coffee to keep you cycling through the streets so you catch the sun coming up over the Spree.
