Trends / Adventure

Positano is a lovely area to explore on land, with the amazing cliffside, black-sand beaches and small side streets sprinkled with charming stores, making it a popular tourist destination. The main attraction, though, is the sea, and exploring the Amalfi town by boat is the best way to experience this coastal beauty.

Positano boat tours can be found running from the docks of Marina Grande Beach, the biggest and most popular beach in Positano. Here you can find many different options for touring the island and coast depending on what you want to see and how long you want your journey to be.

One of the most popular tours, especially for young groups, will take a group of 15 people for €20 each on a typical gozzo boat. The boat is large with a spacious lounging deck up front for passengers.

This tour will take you around the island and point out the sights. They stop at the emerald grotto for passengers to swim through and explore, with the green reflection bouncing off the caves.

The tour also stops at a popular cliff-jumping spot for the more adventurous passengers. This activity requires a swim to the shore, a climb across the rocky beach and a climb up a small cliffside. You are warned if you climb up, you must jump, so make the most of it!

How to Explore Neuschwanstein Castle

Most people know Neuschwanstein Castle as Walt Disney’s inspiration for both Cinderella’s and Sleeping Beauty’s castles, but it is also filled with history and stories from German royalty. In 1868, King Ludwig II began construction of the medieval-style castle to live in. Sadly, it wasn’t finished before he died, so the king never got to see the finished product. Today, the castle is privately owned, but travelers can still explore it on a guided audio tour.
