Romania is a great place to party with plenty of cheap booze and clubs that stay open until sunrise. Here are six places to check out for the local electronic scene.
Gaia
There are dozens of old bars around Bucharest great for day drinking. Save your money and splurge at Gaia.
Kristal
Kristal is another high-end club like Gaia, but with much better DJs. Music varies from pop music to underground dance.
Guesthouse
Clubs typically stay open until 6 a.m., but there are a number of after-hours spots around the city if you want something calmer. Guesthouse features a variety of DJs and live acts.
Kulturhaus
If you prefer cheaper clubs with a more varied sound, Kulturhaus ranges from techno to indie rock to Romanian pop music.
Studio Martin
This is the best place to go for underground dance. It’s got a nice sound system and minimal décor, plus a slew of notable performers like Eats Everything, Jody Wisternoff and Mano le Tough.
Club Control
Club Control is similar to Studio Martin, but with a more eclectic sound. Performers range from bands to DJs to live electronic acts.
