If you are searching for a gift a bit different next Christmas, plan a trip to the Illustrator’s Art Fair.
The House of Illustration organized the Illustrator’s Art Fair, held in 2016 on Dec. 10, where almost 100 contemporary illustrators sold their wares. Among the items on sale were posters, prints, ceramics, badges and books.
Whether you are buying gifts for an art lover or looking for something unique and unusual, something there fit the bill.
The fair was also held at the West Handyside Canopy, near King’s Cross St Pancras. The area is also home to the world-renowned Central Saint Martins design school, housed in a converted granary.
Stick around King’s Cross to see how the area has been regenerated, with plenty of trendy cafes and restaurants in what used to be a crime-ridden no man’s land. Take a stroll down the canal to Angel, or drop in to one of the many pubs and bars for a celebratory drink.
Christmas shopping doesn’t have to be stressful if you know where to look.
