The Harlem EatUp! festival, co-founded by Food Network favorite Marcus Samuelsson, runs through May 20, with tickets on sale now. Entrance to the Marketplace is free and pay-as-you-go, but special events such as Dine In dinners are ticketed. Founded with a good cause in mind, net proceeds are donated to Harlem Park to Park, Citymeals on Wheels and Historic Harlem Parks.

“Harlem EatUp! combines the spirit of a block party and a family reunion where everyone is invited,” said co-founder Marcus Samuelsson.

“We created Harlem EatUp! to celebrate one of the most storied neighborhoods. From the food and drink to music and culture, there’s nothing like it,” added co-founder Herb Karlitz.

The Dine In dinner series showcases local and guest chefs at some of the best local restaurants, with wine pairings from the Bordeaux region. Additionally, there’s an annual Harlem EatUp! Luminary Award Dinner, this year honoring Dapper Dan and Bevy Smith.

The Harlem Stroll is the two-day outdoor event at Morningside Park, with the free-admission Harlem Marketplace and ticketed Ultimate Grand Tasting. The Marketplace features a la carte bites from local restaurants, food vendors and a wine and beer garden. The EatUp! Main Stage meanwhile features live cooking demos and musical performances.

New to the schedule is a free, early morning yoga session, Mantras & Mimosas, featuring meditations led by Land Yoga and DJ Taela, and Prosecco cocktail tastings.

“Harlem is one of the most vibrant, culturally diverse and delicious communities in the country,” said Andrew Zimmern. “I can’t wait to cook alongside some of the neighborhood’s pioneers and most iconic culinary voices, including the inimitable Melba Wilson, and eat my way around the globe without leaving the island of Manhattan.”

Other famous faces beyond Andrew Zimmer and Marcus Samuelsson that you can spot at the event include Jacques Torres, Stephanie Izard and Maneet Chauhan.
