After an immensely successful blockbuster run with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Disney is prolonging the hype with its announcement of a new Star Wars experience coming to Hollywood Studios.
Beginning in mid-December, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will feature new entertainment, special displays inside Star Wars Launch Bay and a first-ever themed tour.
Star Wars Launch Bay is a multi-sensory space celebrating all things Star Wars, with authentic replicas from Rogue One in addition to other memorabilia. A special making-of film will also be featured.
AWR Troopers from Rogue One will be added to the popular daytime stage show “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away,” outfitted in their iconic armor. Randomized tracks will be added to Star Tours – The Adventure Continues, a popular attraction that utilizes motion simulator-based technology. New scenes from Star Wars: Episode VIII will be added to Star Tours in the coming year.
A new guided tour will immerse visitors in a seven-hour experience, including a knowledgeable guide, encounters with characters, special screenings of Star Wars: Path of the Jedi and Star Wars-themed menus at dining spots.
Entire Star Wars-themed lands are now under construction at the theme park and at Disneyland in California.
