London is one of the most popular cities in the world for study abroad students. The city offers a large amount of diversity in its universities with schools ranging in size and location, which can make it difficult for students to decide which school is right for them. If you’re looking to study abroad in London, you may want to consider a few of these options.
Located in Regent’s park, Regent’s University is a comparatively small school that offers on-campus housing for international students. There are courses available in subjects ranging from acting and global theater to fashion marketing, international human rights and European studies.
King’s College offers a variety of liberal arts, sciences and engineering courses for study abroad students, and the expected amount of courses (or modules) is four per semester. It’s close to the center of the city and within walking distance from a number of theaters including the Duchess Theatre, Novello Theatre and Royal Opera House. You can peruse the course catalog to find study options right for you, which can include courses on the performing arts in London, economics, history and theory in psychology and actuarial science.
If you are a Shakespeare buff or absolutely love the theater, you should consider spending a summer in London studying stage at Shakespeare’s Globe Theater. The program is in conjunction with Richmond, the American International University in London. This opportunity gives students the chance to study English Renaissance drama and theater in addition to the history of the Globe Theater.
The most important factor when choosing a study abroad program is to make sure you will stay on track with your degree when you return to your university afterward. Much like when you shopped for colleges in high school, do your research to see whether the university you plan to attend offers the right courses and class sizes for you.
