It used to be that if you wanted to go on a trip, you went to a travel agent. Though travel agents are still important to the travel process for some, online tools provide people with a range options that allow them to take control of their own itinerary. Now it seems there is no shortage of ways to figure out where to stay and what to do on vacation.
The problem now is navigating these many options. It could prove helpful to work with someone who has the savvy that comes from years of travel planning experience. According to the American Society of Travel Agents, the use of travel agents and designers is on the rise and millennials lead that charge.
Travel designers do not just plan a straightforward itinerary. They are skilled at working with you to build strategies so you can engage as fully as possible with your chosen vacation. It depends on the designer you choose, but, in general, you don’t have to know what you want to do. It would, however, be a benefit to know how you prefer to travel.
At what kind of pace do you travel? Do you like to see everything at once, or deep dive into one thing at a time? Are you enthusiastic about outdoor experiences, food or museums? Knowing how you travel and what you like and don’t like will aid you on the road to developing a strategy.
If you have the extra funds required and you think you might want to find a travel designer, then check out this list of agencies in the United States and see what could be in store for you.
