The fantastic beauty of Mother Nature is undeniable. Unknown to many of us, the world offers much more than its breathtaking natural wonders. As surreal as it seems, unearthly looking places like glowing caves, colorful rock formations, alien trees and pink lakes can be found in our planet.

These exotic spots exist on almost every continent in the world, proving the majestic works of Mother Nature. Check out these stunning and unbelievable places on Earth.

Pamukkale, Turkey

Pamukkale, meaning cotton castle, is known for mineral-rich thermal waters flowing down white travertine terraces on a nearby hillside. Located in Turkey’s inner Aegean region, it has a temperate climate for most of the year.

Fly Geyser, Nev.

Known as Fly Ranch Geyser, this small geothermal geyser is located in Washoe County, Nev. A collision of human error and natural geothermal pressure created this rainbow-colored geologic wonder — this is one unique site you don’t want to miss.

Glow Worms Cave, New Zealand

Paddle through Waitomo Cave in Otorohanga where the roof looks like a sky full of stars — except the stars are glow worms. The glow worms cling to the ceiling of a 30-million-year-old limestone cave. The cave is known for its population of Arachnocampa Luminosa, a glow worm species found exclusively in New Zealand.

Emerald Ice on Baikal Lake, Russia

Located in Siberia, Laka Baikal is the largest freshwater lake on the planet. It contains approximately 20 percent of the Earth’s freshwater. Apart from being the oldest lake in the world at 25 million years old, it’s home to more than 2,000 varieties of flora and fauna, of which almost 1,600 are endemic to the lake.
