Trends / Food & Drink

When visiting a new area, checking out the local bar scene at night can truly give a person an insight on what the culture is like around them. In the New Hope, Pennsylvania area, trendy bars are lined up, making it easy to hop from place to place. Each bar has its own unique personality, which makes New Hope a fun place to meet natives and experience something new.

For great local music, John and Peters is the spot to be. Offering live performances seven days a week, 365 days a year, this bar will be sure to curb your need for good music and drinks. The bar featured artists like Norah Jones and Mary Chapin Carpenter before they became bigger names. John and Peter’s also hosts comedy nights, poetry slams and performance art throughout the year.

The Lambertville Station Pub is the perfect place for an upscale date night. Right on the Delaware River, this pub and restaurant offers gorgeous views of the water and surrounding forest. In the summer, an outdoor bar and seating is available to enjoy the warm days with a drink in hand.

Adjacent to the Bucks County Playhouse, Karlas is the perfect place to grab a drink in open-air seating before seeing a show. The restaurant serves European cuisine and has a long list of specialty and seasonal martinis. On Monday nights, customers can enjoy Local’s Night, open to everyone. The restaurant serves a three-course meal for just $12–19.
