Avid exercisers often struggle with keeping up fitness routines while on the road. Finding hotels with gym facilities, lodging near running paths or downloadable yoga workouts are just a few ways travelers stay fit during trips. For those who have difficulty forgoing cycling regimens, Westin Hotels & Resorts stepped in to bring the phenomenon of spinning to the comfort of a hotel room.

Thanks to a collaboration between Westin and Peloton, a company that specializes in in-home exercise bicycles with built-in spinning classes, guests at the hotel’s chain of properties will be able to participate in curated cycling classes in their hotel rooms. Guests staying in a room without a private bike will have access to shared gym space in the hotels where the bikes will also be available. The bikes will be equipped with on-demand classes via personal computer screens with touch-screen capability.

The fitness initiative adds to others implemented by the hotel brand, including a partnership with New Balance to provide workout gear to guests who forgot to pack their running shoes or tank tops.

Currently the in-room spinning program is only available in select U.S. hotels in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and Tampa.

What to Do During a Trip to Morro Bay, California

No, it’s not Monterey Bay. We’re talking Morro Bay, California, located about a 2.5-hour drive to the south, about halfway between San Jose and Los Angeles. A quieter destination, Morro Bay offers plenty for the outdoor adventurer to enjoy.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
