Massive Music Festival to Come to Colorado

The minds behind the super successful and widely known Bonaroo and Coachella music festivals have a new mega music festival up their sleeves.

The Coachella planners at AEG and the Bonaroo event management team at Superfly currently manage two of the nation’s largest music festivals in California and Tennessee, respectively. But a newer, larger festival would take place in Colorado’s capital city and, if approved, would kick off as early as September 2018.

The festival is still in the planning stages and various aspects of bringing such a large event to the Denver city limits need to be approved by the city and community. Although the festival could bring in millions of dollars for the city, a portion of which would be donated to local non-profit organizations, Denver officials still have concerns, which include days and nights of loud noise, traffic and other disturbances for surrounding neighborhoods. Denver is looking to other cities who host such festivals for examples of what could go wrong but also how large-scale events that attract people from all over the world can benefit the city.

Organizers predicted the festival could attract nearly 60,000 attendees to the Overland Park Golf Course, approximately five miles south of downtown Denver.
