Dubai is an extravagant city, but that doesn’t mean you can’t visit on a budget. Follow our tips for seeing Dubai without breaking the bank.
Start your day with breakfast at Parlour Boutique. The charming spot serves French-style cuisine with options including omelets and pastries. Spend about $10–16. Go for a stroll around the Palm Jumeirah. The palm-shaped, man-made island is home to many of the city’s poshest hotels. It’s also home to a boardwalk, perfect for a morning walk.
Grab lunch from former food truck SALT. The Instagramable spot serves Wagyu beef burgers alongside fries and ice cream. Lunch costs about $17. Visit the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. The more than 2.5-million-gallon aquarium houses thousands of aquatic animals. Located in the Dubai Mall, admission starts at about $32.
Have dinner at Baker & Spice. The seasonal restaurant has several outposts throughout Dubai. The menu focuses on the seasons, so you can be sure you’re experiencing the freshest ingredients. Entrées start around $15. Take an evening walk to marvel in the city’s spectacular architecture. See the Burj Khalifa, Burj al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, to name a few.
