Under $100 / North America

Located in central Arizona, the city of Prescott is full of historic attractions, cultural activities and adventure. Follow our guide for seeing Prescott on less than $100 per day.

Have breakfast at The Local. You’ll find breakfast classics with a Southwestern spin, like biscuits with green chile sausage gravy. Spend $10–15 on your meal. Go for a hike at Watson Lake Park. The recreational area is ideal for nature lovers looking for beautiful scenery.

Grab a slice for lunch at Rosa’s Pizzeria. Specializing in Sicilian and southern Italian dishes, the owners ran a shop in New York City for 25 years before arriving in Prescott. Order a build-your-own slice, starting at $2.50 or select sandwiches served only during lunch hours, starting at $5.50. Next, check out some museums. Stop at the Smoki Museum. The museum is dedicated to the preservation and understanding of indigenous cultures of the Southwest. Adult admission costs $7. Explore Prescott history at the Sharlot Hall Museum. Once the governor’s mansion, the museum preserves the history and folklore of Yavapai County. Adult admission costs $9.

Spend the evening exploring Whiskey Row. The street was named for the concentration of saloons in one spot in the late 1800s. A fire destroyed much of the area in 1900, but was quickly rebuilt to uphold its history. Stroll through the shops, art galleries and saloons, then have dinner at Prescott Brewing Company. The brewery and restaurant serves up craft beers and an extensive menu of pub grub. Specials are available Monday–Friday. The beer list is updated weekly. Spend about $20–30.
